The TOYLAND MINIATURE HORSE FARM was established in
1980 when we decided to make a change from Black Arabians to Miniature
Horses. We went into Miniatures with 20 years of Show, breeding
and Genetic experience in Arabians, Appaloosas and Paints. The
Miniatures gave us the satisfaction of being able to enjoy having
all the colors and breed for the refined type we liked.
We breed for Beauty, Refinement and Show Quality. Since
we especially like color, we've bred for Loud Appaloosas with
good blankets or Leopard spots, and Pintos, including the flashy
OVERO and Tovero Pinto patterns which are highly sought after
by todays breeders.
Our Stallions are Genetically bred to intensify Color
patterns. Our Toyland foals carry the BLACK Gene, which gives
them the ability to produce BLACK spotted Appaloosa patterns or
Black and white Pinto foals which are so popular. Having the Black
Gene assures a higher percentage of intense "base colors"
such as Black, Bay and Chestnut which are highly desirable in
a "COLOR" breeding program.
Our TOYLAND line has been developed over many years,
to breed true for the special traits we have bred into our Miniatures.
In doing this, we've set strong Genetic tendencies to PRODUCE
what they ARE, and they ARE beautiful! Our foals carry the same
quality and color patterns inherited from their parents, which
thye will pass on to their offspring. We've created several Generations
in our TOYLAND line, with detailed pedigrees and Genetic guides
to use in your own breeding program.
TOYLAND PURE FALABELLAS
We specialize in PURE FALABELLAS in our own UNIQUE
TOYLAND line, which has been developed over 41 years. All Toyland
Falabella's trace their heritage to original Argentina Imported
Falabella's and are registered in the FALABELLA
MINIATURE HORSE ASSOCIATION. (FMHA)
We have the largest herd of PURE FALABELLAS in the USA, all of the finest quality
within the Falabella Breed. We have ALL COLORS, Including Colorful
Appaloosa and Fancy Pintos. We have Solid colors, with or without
a variety of white markings. A good selection of quality foals
are available each year. We also
offer a select adult Falabella's from our breeding herd.

Our TOYLAND pure Falabellas are registered in AMHA,
AMHR and the FALABELLA
MINIATURE HORSE ASSOCIATION. (FMHA) The FMHA is one of the
FIRST Miniature Breed Registries in the World, with the first
Argentine Imported Falabella's being registered in 1973. Over
the many years of breeding, we've developed several Generations
of our own fine quality TOYLAND FALABELLAS, all tracing their
heritage back to IMPORTED FALABELLA ancestry.
Recently, FMHA has added The Falabella Blend Registry (FBR),
FBR accepts Miniatures with Falabella in the background.
The Falabella Blend Miniature is becoming VERY popular.

Difference
between MINIATURE HORSE and PONY ?
Over the years, there has been much confusion and controversary regarding the Miniature Horse and the Pony. We
would like to clarify on the controversary of MINIATURE HORSES verses PONIES, ARE THEY THE SAME? MINIATURE
HORSES and the Falabella Miniature horses are a pure and recognized
REGISTERED BREED OF HORSE, A BREED OF ITS VERY OWN, Just as the PONY is
a REGISTERED BREED ALL OF ITS OWN, whether it be the Hackney, the
Shetland, the Shire, welsh, there are many. I would like to conclude by
setting the
record straight. Many familys think that a Miniature Horse and a
Pony
are the same thing. The biggest difference is the size.
Ponies are over 38" in height and go up from
there. Miniature horses and Miniature Falabellas are size ranged
between 26" up to 38" Horses over 38" are NOT Miniatures,
they are Ponies.
OUR FIRST FALABELLAS
In the 1980's, we were very fortunate to be able to
aquire some extremely rare PURE FALABELLA Miniatures. Our very
Best was TOYLAND ZODIAC, a top
quality, 31" black Leopard Appaloosa Stallion.
With ZODIAC, we aquired his Dam and a group of lovely
Falabella Mares to start our exciting venture. Over the years,
Zodiac has produced many loud Colored Appaloosa foals that were
beautiful to look at and wanted by all who saw them. Zodiac has
proven himself to be a most prolific and valued sire. He is the foundation
behind many of our Best and most Colorful.
TOYLAND ZODIAC has proven to become the TOP producing "FALABELLA"
stallion in the USA, and in many parts of the World. He is the
sire and grandsire of more
FALABELLA bred show winners "Over the World," than many
other "FALABELLA" stallions.
Over the years, we've added other Imported Falabellas
and other FMHA Falabella's to our herd, always selecting the best
to compliment our own Toyland lines. The results have been excellent.
Today, our TOYLAND Falabellas are in many parts of the USA and
Over the World.
Our TOYLAND Falabellas, and our Toyland American Miniatures
have taken some top wins in the USA and International shows over
the World. EACH YEAR, We offer a good selection of pure Falabella
foals and some adults for purchase.
We also offer American Miniature lines and Falabella
Blends which are prestigious to own with the rare Falabella ancestry.
